Bomburu Ella
Bomburu Ella is a waterfall in Sri Lanka and consist of several small waterfalls grouped together. The source of the falls is the located near the border of Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts, 15 km from Welimada town. Bomburu Ella waterfall which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka is situated in the village called Perawella, in Uva Paranagama beside Badulla Nuwara Eliya district border. This is also known as a Perawella waterfall. Any visitor to this beautiful place would experience what we could probably experience from European countries such as Switzerland or Netherlands. The lush green situated in front of the waterfall adds an extra beauty to the fall.
This waterfall can also be considered as one of the widest waterfalls and the vicinity of the fall is very appropriate for camping. The base of the Bomburu Ella is very rocky. There are several large rocks to climb around, whether you are trying to get across the river, or just chill at the top. If you are looking to explore more of the base of the falls, you can cross the river at a few different points without too much difficulty, and there are a lot of boulders and ledges that showcase Bomburu Ella falls from a few different angles!
