But at that time I was eating a bitey packet. At one point, the friend who was on the bike in front of me started to brake. As soon as I looked away, the friend's bike hit me. At that moment, I fell there and lost consciousnes.
when I regained consciousness, I was in the hospital. I asked my friends what happened there. They said that as soon as I was hit, they took me to a nearby three-wheeler and took me away. The incident that happened to me that day is an incident that I will never forget.
Lanka’s tourism industry moves towards revival, Indian tourist arrivals have reached a crucial milestone. In the first nine months this year, over 2 lakh Indian Tourists have reached Sri Lanka. This accounts for around 20 percent of all tourists reaching the island nation. Overall, Sri Lanka saw tourist arrivals cross the million mark by the end of September. Earnings from tourism sector have risen to 1.5 billion USD in the period up to September this year. The sector had seen a slump after 2019 Easter bombing, Covid pandemic, and the ensuing lockdown.
The connectivity between the two countries has improved over the last few months as air travel resumed between Jaffna and Chennai in December last year. The services were made daily in June this year. The sector saw completion of 200 journeys this week.
Connectivity between Colombo and Mumbai has also been improved with daily flights operating on the sector. In addition, Ferry services between Nagapattinam and Kankesanthurai are also likely to commence soon.
Bollywood name is derived from Bombay (now Mumbai), India. Bollywood is the Mumbai Film industry (India’s Hindi Film Industry). The name “Bollywood” was coined during the 1970’s. In 1896, Auguste and Louis Lumiere brothers came to Bombay to introduce cinematography. And, Bombay became the center of India’s Hindi film industry. In 1913 Dadasaheb Phalke, father of Indian cinema, made the first full-length film, “Raja Harishchandra”. The first Indian film with a soundtrack was “Alam Ara”, which premiered in 1931.

Role of music in Bollywood films
The first audio film “Alam Ara” had seven songs. The film “Indra Sabha” from 1932 had 69 songs. Bollywood movies are not just about the story. Music is the heart of Indian films. Lyrics and choreography are carefully synchronized. Songs have given Bollywood films a distinctive look as compared to the international films. What is Bollywood dance style?
India has over 500 years of dance history. Bollywood dance style is a hybrid in its original form.
The earlier dances in Bollywood films were dominated by classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Folk dances from different parts of India. Since 1980’s Bollywood dancing style has been influenced by Western dance styles.
Bollywood Dance style incorporates head, neck and body movements, mudras and footwork. There are about 108 mudras. Mudras together with full body movements gives complete meaning to the Bollywood Dance style.
Bollywood Dance is the name given to the dance-form used in Indian (Hindi) films. The most energetic and colorful Indian dance forms are Bhangra and Garba (originated in the state of Gujarat, India). They merged with other dance forms from around the world, and now is the famous Bollywood dance. Bollywood Dance style is a fusion of various dance styles. It includes Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Bhangra, Jazz, Hip-hop, Arabic, Western dance to name a few. Classical Indian dance incorporates the two basic elements of dance and expression.
The present day Bollywood Dance style has elements of Indian classical dance, and numerous other dance forms. The dance includes multiple formations, natural locations or architecturally-grand settings, a large number of background dancers and colorful costumes.
Sometimes part of the film story is told in the dance. Bollywood hip-hop dance has recently acquired much attention.
Bollywood film’s story is centered around lively music and dance. Indian dance is performed in colorful costumes with props. The classical Indian dance incorporates facial expressions, hand gestures (using mudras), body postures and movements. This brings life to the story.
Bhangra is a highly energetic dance that originated from Punjab. Bhangra consists of spirited facial expression, high lifted arms, and high jumps that are danced to the beat of a dhol aka an Indian drum. Fun Fact: Farmers used to do Bhangra while harvesting which made their job enjoyable. Bhangra was initially done by men (weird huh?) but as it modernized women joined as well. SriLankan Airlines is the flag carrier of Sri Lanka and a member airline of the Oneworld airline alliance. It is currently the largest airline in Sri Lanka by number of aircraft and destinations and was launched in 1979 as Air Lanka following the termination of operations of the original Sri Lankan flag carrier Air Ceylon.
Following its partial acquisition in 1998 by Emirates, it was re-branded and the current livery was introduced. In 2008, the government of Sri Lanka acquired all the shares of the airline from Emirates. After ending the Emirates partnership, it retained its re-branded name and logo. The Airline operates to 126 destinations in 61 countries (including codeshare operations) from its main hub located at Bandaranaike International Airport near Colombo. SriLankan Airlines joined the Oneworld airline alliance on 1 May 2014. Following the economic crisis of 2022, the Sri Lankan government has been exploring approaches to privatise several state-owned companies including Sri Lankan airlines. In 2023, the Sri Lankan government set up the ‘State-Owned Enterprise Restructuring Unit’ (SRU) under the Ministry of Finance to assist in the privatisation of state-owned companies such as Sri Lankan airlines.
Love is an easy emotion to identify. You can see it everyday between couples, families, friends and religion. Having love in your life means that people are always there to support you or catch you when you fall. If you are someone conveying love towards others, you will be easy to become friends as well. For example, if you dad decided to leave you mom for someone else, you can be extremely hurt by someone you loved. Another disadvantage would be obsession. This can happen when a couple things they are in love but just want to have someone in their life to show affection for. A family member passing away can cause you pain as well. This pain can force you to feel another emotion, hate.
Hate is another emotion that is easy to organize, You can see it in our world today between countries at war. This emotion is completely opposite of love. When you experience this emotion, you feel enraged and need to let you anger out. A few ways you can let this anger out are to vandalize a building, severely hurting someone or screaming at someone. For instance, if you vandalize a building, it can cause you to be in trouble with police. Hurting a person also carries the same consequence. Screaming only causes you to hurt others feelings. Though hatred has it’s obvious disadvantages there are a number of advantages to it. Hatred can keep you from dangerous acts. For example, people can hate smoking. This means you won’t be hurting your body. An emotion like hatred can have both its positive and negative effects.
Both love and hate are strong emotions conveyed in opposite ways. These emotions can also lead from one to the other. A person can love someone and once that person hurts them deeply, it causes them to hate them. Hating someone can also lead to love with time and patience with one another. These emotions are two of the strongest in the world. Another way these emotions are similar is that both can be represented with the color red.
This could be silly or may be completely something people need to understand. You may never actually love a person, but you may never actually hate someone either. If your best friend screws up one day, you won’t hate them forever, and if you love someone, you will always love them. It’s a twisted world that plays with our heads but fact is, it’s life, get over it.
